Come and support our Mount Aspiring College students in their fundraising attempt to break the world record for the number of vertical kilometers climbed in 24 hours. Come down to the lake front to enjoy a taste of local wine, fantastic food and decadent chocolate delights. Pic nic by the lake and soak up the tunes, you may even learn to dance tango!

11:00 am - 1:00 pm Meadow Fresh Kids Crate Stack Competition
Challenge a friend to this crazy competition. Create the highest tower by climbing higher and higher on top of a stack of milk crates. When it topples enjoy the thrill of hanging in the air from a crane and climbing rope! This session is set aside for the younger generation under 16 years old.

11:30 am Puzzling World Mt Iron Footrace
A combination of brains and braun will help you through this fun fitness event. There are kids and advanced challenges available… Solve the riddles and run the race to become the Puzzling World Mt Iron Champion!

We are searching for Wanaka’s best chocolate dessert! Categories include “best commercialchocolate dessert”, “best home-made chocolate dessert”, “most original chocolate dessert” and “best overall chocolate dessert” Winners earn kudos and publicity in the Wanaka Sun!
If you have a decadent chocolate dessert, you are invited to enter into this event. You will need to bring 2 identical chocolate desserts. 1 will be judged and 1 will be auctioned off as a fundraiser for Wanakafest. Make sure you are at the house build site at 4pm! Harcourts Wanaka will auction the festival house as well as a number of other fantastic items. In addition to buying a fantastic house, there will be spot prizes to be won and bargains to be had!
