House Build HUGE Success

The Stonewood Homes House build was a massive success. More than 200 people cam to the NO RESERVE house auction and the house sold for a great price.

All the proceeds from the auction will go to the Wanakafest Charitible Trust. These proceeds will be put towards a community project that everyone can enjoy.

Thank you so much for all the efforts from all those involved. It truly highlighted what a fantastic community Wanaka has.

Shear Comfort! In the Woolly insulated home!

Nicki  from Shear Comfort Wool Insulation is shown below in the roof of the festival house filling the ceiling with “supa fill”. Supa-Fill is a machine blown loose wool fibre product for the ceiling with a thermal rating ranging from R2.6. According to Nicki “Supa-Fill is a cost effective, quality insulation, which allows you to put your health and well-being first.” I checked out their product and it is soft and beautiful to touch! The nearly completed home!

Wow! I was just up the Wanakafest House and it is looking incredible! They have painted all the walls, the kitchen is nearly fitted. It is now fully carpeted, tiles, water is running… even the garage is carpeted! Well done to everyone involved in the project!

Painting and Plumbing

The house build is coming to completion thanks to all the hard work of loads of local tradespeople! Getting close to Finishing Touches

The Stonewood Homes House Build Project is on schedule and the exterior is almost complete. Finishing touches on the inside are now underway with tiling, painting, and landscaping making this house look beautiful!

One this that is certain is that this house will be spectacular! Check out a couple of other pictures of the house below!

A roof, windows and all wrapped up

With the Roof in place, the windows in, all the framing completed and the house all wrapped up, it is becoming easier to imagine how this fabulous house will look once completed! We have had such a great response from individual trades people and local businesses with help towards this project.

Building into the sky

With the “Gus” the dog and help from Mark Evans Building. The frames of the Wanakafest house continue to rise into the sky. The house is really looking good now! We have also had some of the underground electrical work laid down by Jeff Limmer Electrical and continued supply of much of our building materials by Placemakers. Thank you to everyone who is working hard to make this project a success!

The House is Taking Shape!

This week was an exciting week for Willowridge Wanakafest organisers. The slabs for the Stonewood Homes festival house were poured on Monday and the Frames started going up on Wednesday. Now it is starting to look like a house which is really exciting! Here is a picture of what the house will look like when it is finished.

The House is Happening!

The Stonewood Homes House Build Project is officially underway! Here is a picture of the guys hard at work at the Wanakafest house!

The concrete was poured this morning and it looks great! The Frames are going up later this week and the shape of the house will start to become apparent. Well done everyone!
