WANAKAFEST COMMUNITY TRUST
The Wanakafest Community Trust is a Charitable Trust that exists to host Wanaka’s Community Festival.
Our aim is that this festival is:
- available to all
- family-friendly
- fun
- entertaining
- and most importantly gives back to the Wanaka Community.
The Trust aims to identify and fund development projects that benefits the Wanaka Community. Our vision is that every 2-3 years the festival incorporates a major fundraising event, such as the 2009 Stonewood Homes House Build. Funds from the festival fundraising activity will go back into Wanaka. For example: In 2011, we supported and are helping build the Wanaka Springs Water Feature Project in conjunction with the Wanaka Springs Community Trust on the Lake Front.
OUR FESTIVAL PARTNER
In 2011, after being the festival’s main sponsor since 2009, Allan Dippie and Tony Brown of Willowridge Developments Ltd have come on board as our Festival Partner. They have offered, long-term financial support and are an integral part to the future success of the festival.
